On June 28th, Playhouse on the Square hosted a benefit performance of RENT for SRVS. Proceeds totaling $3,800 from the night's preformance went to support SRVS' day center for people with disabilities. Before the show, attendees enjoyed appetizers and wine as they learned more about SRVS' programs.
As guests gathered in front of the stage, a lifted cloth revealed the commemorative artwork for the 11th Annual Spirit of SRVS. The piece, by Mid-South artisit Connie Lampen, incorporates a vinyard and a cafe surrounded by musical notes and lush dark grapes. Connie is inspired by helping others and is a long time volunteer and supporter of SRVS. The one of a kind piece will be up for bid at the Spirit of SRVS event on August 22nd. |
