Early Intervention

Any child birth to age three with any type of disability can receive early intervention services from SRVS Kids & Families. A specific diagnosis is not required to receive services.

Diagnoses often include:

spina bifida, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, Down Syndrome, speech, hearing or vision delay, autism, delays from premature birth.

Most often, families of children with disabilities are referred to SRVS Kids & Families through TEIS (Tennessee Early Intervention System). We also receive referrals from doctors, nurses, social workers or other agencies. A family can also contact SRVS Kids & Families directly about program participation.

Families that are concerned about their child's development should call the TEIS Office and request an evaluation to see if their child qualifies for services through TEIS.
