Highlighting its achievements in quality and care, SRVS has been awarded a four-year, international Person-Centered Excellence Accreditation from CQL | Council on Quality and Leadership. SRVS’ Kids and Families program also earned accreditation for the first time and is the only pediatric program in the region to be awarded the designation.
CQL is an internationally recognized accrediting body and not-for-profit leader that designs progressive practices and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and people with mental illness.
The accreditation is a testament to SRVS as being the best organization in the region for helping people with disabilities, said SRVS executive director Tyler Hampton. SRVS is the state’s largest provider of services for people with disabilities and helps more than 1,600 people annually.
“CQL accreditation recognizes the dedication of our staff, and the commitment SRVS has to utilize the best practices in all our services,” Hampton said. “I am very proud that SRVS Kids and Families is the first pediatric program in the region to be accredited by CQL. It confirms that SRVS operates high-quality programing for children and does it in a very person-centered way, looking at each child individually and tailoring their care to the needs of the family.”
To qualify for accreditation, SRVS showed proficiency in Person-Centered Planning, Quality and Accountability and Supports and Services. As of July 1, the latest figures, 333 agencies in the United States have been accredited. Agencies in Australia, Canada and Ireland also earned accreditation by CQL.
